Information we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
- Technical information. Our web server records standard log data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the date and time. We use it to keep the site secure and working.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies, described below and in our Cookie Policy.
You do not need an account to use the site, and the converter does not store the amounts you enter. The ingredient and amount you choose may appear in the page address so that you can share a result.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show advertising on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
Other third-party vendors and ad networks that work with Google may also use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads on this site. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or optout.networkadvertising.org. Opting out does not remove ads from the site. It means the ads you see are less tailored to you.
If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before ad cookies or similar technologies are used on your device, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the privacy settings control on the site. Our ads are not directed at children.
How we use information
- To reply to your messages and keep a record of corrections.
- To keep the site secure and to find and fix technical problems.
- To show advertising and measure how it performs, through our advertising partners.
- To understand how the site is used, if we use analytics tools. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Who we share information with
- Our hosting provider, which processes server logs on our behalf.
- Google and its advertising partners, which receive information such as your IP address, device and browser details, the page you visit and cookie identifiers when ads are shown.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
International transfers
Our hosting provider and our advertising partners may process information on servers outside New Zealand, the EEA and the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on lawful safeguards.
How long we keep information
We keep emails for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of corrections. Server logs are kept for a limited period set by our hosting provider. Advertising partners keep information under their own policies.
Your rights
New Zealand. Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand.
EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland. You can ask us to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, ask for a copy of it, object to its use and withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to your local data protection authority.
United States. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sharing of personal information for advertising. Showing personalised ads through Google may count as targeted advertising or sharing in some states. You can opt out with the tools linked in the advertising section above or by using a browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To use any of these rights, email gulsher.hingoro101@gmail.com.
